Massod Barzani, his deputy, Peshmerga minister, Peahmerga undersecretary, Peshmerga spokesmen, Kirkuk governor hold an urgent meeting regarding the formation of Dijla operation in Kirkuk and Diyala.

It was not announced what was discussed but I am sure it would have been very important.

In a media conference Kirkuk police, security as well as Peshmerga rejected allowing the Dijla operation to enter Kirkuk and carry out activities.

They urged the provincial council to reject this unit and stop them operating in the province via a legislation as they have the authority to pass it.

Dijla operation unit:

It's like a security force to replace the role of Peshmerga and Asaish in Kirkuk and Diyala.

This unit is controlled by the sunni chauvinists in Hawija, they want to use these forces to counteract the Peshmerga operations and also use them in elections and things like that. Milky decided to form them out the sunnis in Hawija in return they don't vote against his removal as they had members in Iraqiya list and they refused to vote against milky and paid a visit to him in baghdad and in return Iraqiya kicked out the Arab council members from Iraqiya but they have like 15 MP in parliament, milky has now formed the unit but officially has been halted bcoz KRG, Kirkuk security, Governor and provincial council are all against it and refuse to allow them carry out operations outside Hawija but their aim is to operate in the entire province not just Hawija.

There already is Sunni 12 brigade in Hawija who are pro Kurd these days, but this Dijla is not a good sign bcoz it's formed from former Baathists and the Arab council who are known for their anti Kurd rhetorics.

He is basically calls Peshmerga in Kirkuk as outside force refuses to call Kurdistan by its name and says its N.iraq and calls on peshmerga to withdraw from Kirkuk province and wants arabization to continue and turn Kirkuk into an Arab only province.

So far these camels have had zero power outside Hawija but with Dijla unit they can have more influence. Milky is playing with fire I wonder what Talabani has to say now,? It's still no too late to have him thrown in the gutter Talabani can do it without even needing MPs votes.

Milky does not give a shit about these camels but he is using them against us, he is fighting Sunnis with Kurds in his books, once he gets the chance he will crush them himself.

Dijla Operations Command is hostile against Kurds, says official

ERBIL, September 5 (AKnews) – The deputy head of the security committee in Diyala Provincial Council said the formation of Dijla Operations Command is for aggression against Kurds.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki decided to form an army force under the name of Dijla Operations Command. Both Kirkuk and Diyala provinces will be under control of the force.

Dler Hassan Saya said: "As Kurds in Diyala we consider the formation of the operation command as a political project and it has nothing to do with security and stability in Diyala and Kirkuk provinces."

The official, who is a member of the Kurdistan Blocs Coalition, also said this operations command is being built for the purpose of opposing Kurds, adding that is why he rejects the project.

Secretary of the Peshmarga Ministry Jabar Yawer said: "Maliki must reconsider the formation decision and annul it because executing the decision deteriorates security in the provinces."

3rd pic is an anti aircraft laser guided missle (Strela) even PKK has them I'd imagine our boys would have heaps but no need to display yet as Iraq doesn't have jets yet.

I have though seen a recent vid of peshmerga carrying one in Kirkuk peshmerga base it's posted on the page 2 of this thread.

Yes the first to are just artillery. Though I suspect those rocket launchers are inaccurate since they are un-guided.

After Maliki decided to form his own army command for Kirkuk to replace Peshmerga, Kirkuk governor, Kirkuk council, KRG and all Kurdish political parties, now as well as Talabani reject the formation of this command.

Talabani called Maliki and asked him to stop this Dijla command and he also sent a delegation to him to halt this command and told Maliki he refused Maliki's decision.

my understanding of all these bombs in Kirkuk is to say "oh Kirkuk's security (Peshmerga and Asaish) are not able to control the city's security so they can justify and bring in Dijla command" but they will NEVER be allowed to enter no matter what they do.
