Most of Syrians oil lies in WK - Dêrîk which is in the hand of Kurds and they distribute the oil and sell them sooner or later a 2nd pipeline from SK will be built to the Med sea via WK and WK oil will be connected to it as well, 4 supermajors are now in SK so they will not just settle for one pipeline via turkish ports :-)

Kurdish leader: Syrian Kurds will not fight each other

ERBIL, Sept.5 (AKnews)- Deputy for head of the umbrella organization of Kurdish National Congress (KNC) said there is no possibility of fratricide war among the Kurdish parties in Syria.

"Those who bet that Kurds will face fratricide war in the Syria after the [fall of Bashar al] Assad are just dreaming," said Bengi Haco.

Haco added Kurds in Syria are faced with no threats of fratricide war "at all… All the political parties and forces are united over the patriotic and national issues, especially after singing Erbil agreement."

The agreement, signed under the supervision of Kurdistan Region's President Massoud Barzani, united two major Kurdish alliances in Syria: The People's Council of Western Kurdistan and the Kurdish National Council of Syria.

KNC official said Kurds have always preferred holding dialogue to exercise of violence for settling any issue and will maintain this policy for resolving the Kurdish issue in Syria.

Haco urged the Syrian National Council (the Arabic opposition front) to admit to the ethnic rights of Kurds in the phase after the fall of Assad's regime.

He said " Kurds will not be content with a centralized authority in the current or the future Syria because they demand a decentralized government be created, the rights of Kurds and other nations be protected and democracy be established.

"Kurds in Syria live on their own land… Their soil has been divided [among Iran, Turkey, Syria and Iraq] by force and against their wish.

"Therefore, those who say they will give Kurds [their] rights are wrong because they are [living] on the Kurdish land and have to admit to their rights…"

New Committee Formed to Deal with Kurdish Issue in Syria

PostAuthor: alan131210 » Thu Sep 06, 2012 5:54 am

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region—Last August, the Syrian opposition held a meeting in Cairo where they decided to create a committee to deal with the Kurdish issue in Syria.

The committee includes regional and local experts, such as representatives from the Arab League and Kurdish and Arab Syrians.

Muhammad Musa, a Kurdish representative who attended the Cairo meeting, told Rudaw that two main issues were discussed: “First, to establish a mechanism to allow the Syrian opposition to stay connected with all opposition factions, the Syrian people, the international community and international organizations. Second, the Kurdish issue was addressed.”

“The committee’s role is to gather information and report at the next opposition meeting which will be held at the end of September,” Musa said. “I am optimistic that this time the Kurdish and Syrian opposition will reach a solution on the Kurdish issue.”

Musa mentioned that the Kurdish representatives met with the head of the Arab League, Nabil Arabi, and his deputies. “We told them that if they are concerned about Syria’s unity then they must be serious about resolving the Kurdish issue,” he said.

When asked whether changes have occurred in the Arab and Islamic opposition’s attitude toward the Kurdish issue in Syria, Musa said, “I would say a new situation has emerged, rather than changes occurring.”

He believes the withdrawal of the Kurdish delegation during a meeting last July forced the Syrian opposition to reevaluate its attitude.

Like Musa, Shalal Gado, a member of the Kurdish National Council (KNC) in Syria, is also optimistic about the establishment of the committee and believes it will be able to provide a fair solution to the Kurdish issue.

“This is the first time a committee that includes regional members has been established to deal with the Kurdish issue,” Gado said, adding that it proves that the Kurdish issue in Syria is becoming more of a regional issue day by day.

Gado believes the committee will be a good tool to force the Syrian National Council (SNC) to deal with the Kurdish issue.

“Unfortunately, some Syrian opposition parties share the same view as President Bashar al-Assad’s regime toward the Kurdish issue. The committee will neither share the views of Syria’s opposition nor the Kurds. But its views will be better than those of the Arab factions in Syria’s opposition,” said Gado.

Rezwan Badini, a professor at the University of Salahaddin, considers the committee a step in the right direction. However, he believes it also reflects the inefficiency of Kurdish politics in Syria.

“Establishing such a committee proves that the Kurds in Syria couldn’t impose their position internationally and regionally,” he said.

Badini told Rudaw that the Kurdish opposition is only following developments, instead of playing an active role as opposition. “In Syria’s opposition meetings, the Kurds appear as guests,” he said.

Furthermore, Badini described the Kurdish politicians as “ignorant.”

He said, “The Kurdish politicians have poor backgrounds linguistically, intellectually and politically. Often, during the meetings, an Arab politician can mislead the Kurdish politicians with one word. If the politicians had carried out their duties wisely, the Kurds could have achieved many things by now.”

All I can say! by looking to what is going on in Middle East and Kurdistan is We Kurdistani have the chance to turn the dream into reality. I am afraid of one thing which is shere berakuji .. Rojava kurdistan is liberating yes! Middle East is reshaped! this is good for us! UK and France didn't consider Kurdistan when they shaped current Middle East. for one time I see Kurds are studying in the schools. This is big chance for Kurdistani in Rojava to go ahead and get as much as possible of rights that circumstances allow. it doesn't have to be independence! but we plant the seed of freedom. We as people need to be ready for such big step if we decide! and I mean all Kurdistani not only in Rojava.

the biggest problem we face as Kurds everywhere is lack of unity! and lack of organizing of priorities. I think all active parties and movements in Rojava are aware of these things. I consider Hawler agreement is biggest victory for us as Kurds in rojava.

Her beji Kurd u Kurdistan
