The pro-Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) Leader, Salih Muslem, said he is always ready to meet Turkish foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
In an interview with the International Middle East Peace Research Center on Monday, Salih, whose Party forces have taken control of most of the Kurdish regions of Syria, said He is ready to meet with Davutoglu and discuss the situation in Syria.
Stressing on the importance of dialogue and meeting between Turkey and The PYD, Muslim said: “We are always open to talk with Foreign Minister Davutoglu since we are in favor of dialogue.”
He further asked Turkish officials to set their prejudice against Kurds aside and listen to Kurdish people.
“The brotherhood between the two communities (Kurdish and Turkish) brings this necessity to the fore, but the mind set needs to change first of all.”
The PYD Leader further rejected links between his party and Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and said he guarantees that there would be no shooting from “armed militant power towards Turkey,” after he was asked whether PKK would launch attacks from Syria Kurdish regions into Turkey.
Turkey has accused Kurdish parties of Syria for having links with PKK.
Ankara is afraid Kurds’ control over the northern parts of Syria would fuel Kurdish tension inside it own borders.
