Greetings from Texas!

PostAuthor: Pancho Villa » Fri Mar 21, 2008 9:49 pm

Hello Kurds and Kurd-lovers.

I am a mexican born in the USA, living in Texas. I have joined up to look into a perspective on the Kurds, from people who identify themselves as Kurds. I have heard a lot but I would like some perspective from people who have vested interests in Kurdistan, if you know what I mean.

Right now I am a full-time evictions specialist and a part-time firearms instructor. I try to go shooting once a week, and teach classes as people become interested - mostly on basic firearms safety & operation. Living comfortably but not a lot of free time - so posting might be sporadic.

Regardless, howdy to ya'all, and I hope to learn much from being on this board.

Yiiiiiiihaaaaaa!!!

A good ol' Texan welcome to Roj Bash Kurdistan :D

I trust you will find what you seek here... We have Kurds who are based in Kurdistan, North America and Europe... We even had (as far as I remember) a Kurd or two based in Texas... In Austin, I think it was! :)

Evictionist? You mean throwing people out of houses they can't afford to live in?

Anyway - I'm Sohrab... Pleased to have you aboard!

Enjoy!

Yes, Sohrab, I toss people out of houses who are not paying their rent.

In the USA we have a process, though. I file the eviction in court, a judge hears the case, and then if the person still won't move out when the judge rules against them, we call out a Constable (a special kind of police officer who works only for the Courts) who will go out and legally kick them out. I however sometimes go in with work crews - if people have not moved out we dump all their belongings onto the curb, and if it is not all picked up by the next trash day the trash man hauls it all away!

Usually though they move out or set up a payment plan with the landlord long before that happens.

LOL :D

Funny... Here in Norway, the state is obliged to find housing for ALL its people... So if somebody is kicked out from somewhere, then he will go to the "social office" - or whatever would be a good translation for "Sosialkontoret" - and then fills in a couple of forms and voilà: housing found...

Of course, few, if any, end up in this kind of deal...

Thanks for elaborating! :)

Bienvenida a Roj bash, estaremos encantados de tenerlos aquí. Mi hijo es la mitad latino. Creo que son muy buenas personas y del gusano de la gente simplemente como nosotros kurds.
