HI Allina and welcome to RBK!

I hope you have a nice time here and enjoy improving your English and Kurdish!

I'm not Kurdish either, I'm from the UK and like you, I'm married to a Kurdish guy and always looking to improve my language skills - especially as I'll be in Kurdistan in one month from now!

Look forward to catching up with you soon.

Take Care x

Welcome Allina! :) We are a little bit in the same boat as I'm also a foreigner married to a Kurd.
Where is your husband from, the south I'm guessing?
I'm sure you will find loads of useful material here on RBK and very helpful members :)

Allina - could you please add a picture to your profile? :)

That will make the forum much more user-friendly - and it will be easier to differentiate between users on the forum... :)

Go to "User Control Panel" at the top left hand of the forum - and either upload a picture or find a link on the net...

Thank you!

Absolutely Allina, the more visitors to Kurdistan the better - with all us 'western' wives, we should be able to turn Kurdistan into the tourist centre of the Middle East - how fantastic would that be!

I'm counting down now, just 3 weeks to go, I'm like a big kid, I just love it there - I truly hope one day you get to see it for yourself (I'm sure you will).

I was a bit confused about your last comment, are you saying your husband is in the UK but you're not? I hope you're not forced to stay apart for too long and that you get your visa real soon. Although we Brits are known for being 'difficult' when it comes to handing out visas, you shouldn't have a problem if you're married - I've got my fingers crossed for you both.

I'll certainly update you on my travels when I return, although this isn't my first visit so if you want to ask me anything, please feel free!

xx
