I have a problem with you, and please accept it in a sports spirit.
We consider you one of the pillars of progress, artistic, philosophical and linguistic culture.
But I see you retro and religious in some of your songs.
We want to end the era of Islamic Darkness, So why do you repeat folklore and religious songs even if it's sufism it's also retro and damaging the society.
My Dear Kurdish progressive brother,
Britain is considered one of the most important developed capitalist countries, where the percentage of atheists is higher than the percentage of religious people.
However, religious and folk songs are introduced and renewed daily and it has a large market of audience, also in Japan, India and the US
The topics that some of those religious and folk songs are talking about sometimes do not match with animal rights and contain ridiculous religious things, also very nice spiritual subjects as well as love and other things.
We Kurds have a very rich heritage and it is our duty to preserve it, and this does not mean to believe in it.
- In English there are folk songs that proudly talk about hunting whales or catching foxes, nowadays we should sing about helping whales and foxes survive, not killing them
For example, Oromiya Oromi song, which became semi-global and crossed the borders of Kurdistan, the Sufi song "Salaat" that I and sister Amal Saeed Kurda sang, is a Kurdish saga about love and faith in Allah, and it has nothing retroactive.
It's a dialogue between a mystic and a married queen who adores a mystic and the mystic is illuminated with the love of Allah.
Now in the time of globalization, it is easy to lose your cultural and national identity but interest in folklore protects us a bit from getting lost.
Disconnecting the past does not mean moving forward.
Whoever cuts himself off from the past completely, it is as if he is taking off the skin of his entire body.
This is my answer to your suggestion:
Were you are an envious or an ignorant person, I would not answer you and nor would I waste my time with you.
