Kurdistan, September 5 (Gulan-media) - The secretary of the Peshmarga Ministry in the Kurdistan Region said the structure of the four new brigades has been completed and the brigades now only need the allocation of a budget by the Ministry of Finance.

Jabar Yawer told AKnews: "The formation of four new brigades: 9, 10, 11 and 12, has finished. The ministry asked the Ministry of Finance in writing to grant the budget for them."

The Ministry of Peshmarga has been working for many years to make new brigades of Peshmarga members of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK).

According to AKnews’ information, three brigades are located in Erbil province and one in Suli. The work, posts and the structure of the brigade has been completed.

Once the budget is spent, the four brigades will start their military responsibilities, added Yawer.

The source noted that the bomb targeted a military convey belonged to the 16th military forces of Sulaimaniyah.

The explosion took place near Ozem Dam.
