i was born in Azadi suburb and still all my family lives there , it has changed alot bro , not the same old Kirkuk as we use to know thanks to Kak Najmadin, he is basically like the Nechirvan of Kirkuk lol.

I actually modified the comment and thought i will find it in your old posts. Anyway, what was azadi called before in arabic? because i have never been to that place! I lived in Rahimawa all my life (12 years) and then left. But, i cannot remember all the places in kirkuk and most of the places are back to its original names now.

For me kirkuk is the best city!

Unfortuately I did not grow up in kirkuk but in Suli I was one year old when we got kicked out and our house was given to settled Arabs till from 1980-2003

It is indescribable what they did to us kurds in Kirkuk. The worst thing is to be kicked out in your home town and get kicked out of your place where you are born. But atleast you guys studied in kurdish in sulaimanya. Whereas, i studied in arabic for 6 years and then 2 years in kurdish. I dont know how to write or read properly in kurdish. Also, we were getting beat up by those arab teachers just because we didn't speak arabic and we were young and didn't understand anything.

I will never ever forget arabs and islam for what they did to us.

my dad was given a 24 hour notice to evacuate the house and head to either Suli or Erbil he chose Suli bcoz my mum's sister got married to a Suli guy and was already living there. i was one year old i dont remember anything, but i visited Kirkuk and relatives afterwards and it was like going to hell as a kurd, i was only 10 years old at kirkuk checkpoint a dirty iraqi soldier "punched" me in the nose and swore at me in arabic, what could possibly a 10 year old do to them ? and i saw how they were bashing the crap out of the Chamchamalis who had gone to kirkuk to get fuel as back then KRG was not even established or liberated yet.

our people forget things easy , specially gorran members in Suli.

Sadly, this is how those animals acted against us kurds. Those check points were like crossing hell. In summer times, we were travelling by Lorries to hawler or sulaimanya. Morethan 20 people were on those lorries and in that hot weather. The world thinks only Black people had the worst cause. But, if you look at what happened to kurds, then you know we suffered morethan Black people.

Any kurd that has any sympathy towards arabs, they are traitors. You are right about the chamchamali people.

KIRKUK, Aug. 7 (kirkuknow) – Romanian companies are ready to invest in Kirkuk according to the Governor Nejmadin Karim.

“An envoy from Romania met with governor. The envoy revealed the readiness of Romanian companies to invest in Kirkuk,” according to a statement issued by the Kirkuk governorate. The envoy discussed economic cooperation with Iraq in detail.

The Romanian envoy has praised the coexistence of ethnic and sects in Kirkuk according to the governor. The envoy was led by Jacob Brad, the Romanian ambassador.

After the the failed uprising against Saddam Hussein in 1991 i was close to dying in the mass exodus when over 1 million kurds fled to Eastern and Northern Kurdistan. Those bastards almost killed me

KIRKUK, Aug. 9 (AKnews) - Kirkuk province announced Wednesday that an Iranian company will prepare the design of the Kirkuk sewage project and implement the first phase of the filter station at a cost of 136bn IQD within three and a half years.
 
Kirkuk media spokesperson Dler Abdul Samad said Kirkuk’s governor Najmeddine Karim met a delegation representing Iranian company ICG.
 
"The governor of Kirkuk said his administration will work to overcome the obstacles that may hinder the implementation of this project because it will contribute to the revitalization of reconstruction in the province and ensure job opportunities for the citizens of the province."
 
Director of Kirkuk sewage department Naseh Fateh said earlier that 19 projects related to sewage will be implemented in 2012 by the sewage department.
 
He added that the value of the amounts allocated from the petrodollar project for the sewage projects for carrying lines in 2011 were 60bn IQD and 45bn IQD in 2012.

The Kirkuk administration has decided to build a store to freeze the fresh vegetables and fruits of the farmers to allow them to be used throughout the year.

In a meeting on August 6 between Kirkuk Governor Nejmadin Karim and the office directors of Kirkuk, the production of vegetables and fruits was urged. For the same purpose, it was decided that a store should be built which could and would freeze the surplus produce of the farmers for later use.

Mehdi Mubarak, director of the Kirkuk Agriculture Directorate said, “We discussed a decision by the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture to allocate 1.1 million dinars to make a “freezing store.” He added, “The store will be built on four acres of land in Taza town. The store will be used to preserve fruits and other produce of the farmers in Kirkuk. We’ll send the preserved goods to bazaars any time during the year.”

The Kirkuk administration also decided to offer agriculture loans to the farmers. The amount is 10 billion IDs.

The first products to be preserved in the store will be fruits and vegetables including tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers.

South Kirkuk Water Project to finish in seven months

A British company has started working on a water project on Friday which is supposed to be finished in seven months according to Abdulqadir Muhamad Amin, director of the Kirkuk Water Directorate.

“The project will link the water system of Kirkuk’s south providing water for 14 neighbourhoods,” Amin said. The project will take water from both the Zab and Dukan lakes.

19 billion 500 million Iraqi dinars have been allocated to the project, “The project is the completion for the Kirkuk Water Project which has been implemented by the Faw Company to provide 12,000 cubic meters in an hour.”

Previously, the Kirkuk Water Project said on June 29 that Faw is implementing the Kirkuk Water Project with 93 billion Iraqi dinars.

Yes Rahimawa in 2005 that place was a pure sand on the streets and the pavements. By the way, the telephone pole, we called it "Rika". We used to play football around there.
