frankly turks sensitivity towards the word "Kurd" can not be funnier . I mean all it takes to speak kurdish or to mention the word kurdistan for them to have an allergic reaction which I find very amusing .
I know Arabic very well , but I failed to understand what you meant by "لطوف عربي كبير."

Talsor: My Arabic is pretty bad, I was trying to say "Latuff [the cartoonist's name] is a great Arab". The allergic reaction you've mentioned is very true. The glares I have received when it's revealed that I am learning Kurdish... I wish they would just come out and say "Look, we let the Kurds speak their language in private, but we do expect it to disappear eventually, so you, as a foreigner, learning it, makes us afraid that we'll have to actually live with Kurds!"
But that's not funny to me at all. It's very, very sad.
